Due to our ever-expanding growth as a company, RA Dalton Ltd are recruiting an accounts payable clerk to work in our accounts  department at Head Office. 

The role:

  • Processing purchase ledger invoices onto the accounts system
  • Reconciling delivery notes to invoices received and matching purchase orders
  • Resolving supplier queries
  • Monthly reconciliation of supplier statements and compiling payment runs
  • Handling payments 
  • Development and maintenance of Excel spreadsheets
  • Holiday cover within other roles of the accounts team

The Candidate requires:

  • Keen eye for detail and ensuring accuracy
  • Confident and professional manner
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Self-motivated, pro-active and able to work to own initiative

Preferred but not essential: 

  • Knowledge of software packages such as Sage 200
  • Purchase ledger and previous experience within accounts department
  • Competent in Microsoft -Outlook, Word and Excel

  • Monday – Friday 
  • 9:00 AM to 5:00PM 
  • Full time or part time position available with Hours open to negotiation for the right candidate 
  • Position will be at our Head Office: Burtree Ford, Cowshill, Bishop Auckland, DL13 1DB

Salary £ 20,500 – 22,500

37.5 hours per week
