Powering Progress: How We Delivered a Complete Commercial Wastewater Pump Station Installation

RA Dalton Ltd recently completed a comprehensive wastewater installation for a popular holiday park, requiring a robust pumping system to manage high-volume flows generated by guests and facilities. This commercial project involved the installation of a Klargester PU2645TG Pump Station and an MTO 22m³ Storage Vessel, delivering a long-term, efficient solution that meets all manufacturer and regulatory standards.

Initial Planning and Site Strategy

Our first step was to prepare a detailed Risk Assessment and Method Statement (RAMS) to ensure safety and compliance throughout the project. We then set up the site, installed fencing and organised welfare facilities for the RA Dalton team. Operational logistics included fuel management and machinery delivery to keep the project running smoothly.

Tailored Design for Optimal Wastewater Management

The system design incorporated two key components:

  • Klargester PU2645TG Pump Station – Installed within a reinforced concrete encasement to guarantee durability and performance.
  • MTO 22m³ Storage Vessel – Integrated with 2–3 metres of inlet stub pipework, providing essential capacity for handling large volumes of wastewater.

Both installations adhered strictly to manufacturer specifications, ensuring reliability and compliance.

Precision Installation and Rising Main Integration

To complete the system, we supplied and installed 90 metres of 90mm rising main in a soft dig area, enabling efficient transfer of wastewater through the network. Additional shoring, concrete and skilled labour were deployed to maintain structural integrity during installation.

Commissioning for Long-Term Performance

Once installation was complete, our team carried out full system commissioning, verifying operational efficiency and compliance with environmental standards. This final step ensures the system is ready to deliver dependable performance for years to come.

Commercial Impact: Why This Wastewater Upgrade Matters

This installation provides significant advantages for the holiday park:

  • Capacity for High Demand – The system can handle large volumes of wastewater, even during peak holiday seasons, preventing overflows and service disruptions.
  • Regulatory Compliance – Meeting environmental and building standards protects the business from costly fines and reputational risks.
  • Operational Efficiency – A modern pumping system reduces maintenance requirements and improves reliability, ensuring guests enjoy uninterrupted facilities.
  • Future-Proofing – The robust design accommodates potential site expansion, supporting long-term growth without major infrastructure changes.
