The world of wastewater is governed by a wide variety of legislation, rules, guidelines, and standards for which each new installation must adhere to. As a standard a new installation will usually require the works to be carried out under a building notice/ full plan dependent on the scope of works and location of installation.
Within the Building Control approved document H it lists a number of requirements that need to be adhered to in order for the works to be signed off under building control, this varies from pipework falls, depths and backfill requirements to the siting of your septic tank/ sewage treatment plant and what British Standard you must conform to.
