Bedrock and the BA BioDisc

As part of ongoing renovation works to a property in the Southern Lakes we were asked to attend in order to provide a quotation for a suitable new package sewage treatment plant to serve the dwelling. Our proposal included the installation of a new Klargester BA BioDisc system with corresponding drainage and separation of the surface water drainage which at the time of our visit was connected directly into the existing septic tank.

Within our site visits we look at the whole picture not just the required installation, we take due care and diligence looking for potential issues such as the surface water running through the tanks, space for the required system/ drainage or any issues with ground percolation/ outlet.

The Klargester BA BioDisc.

If you ask us to name the system we believe is the best available on the market we would without a doubt say it was the Klargester BioDisc, this system is the all bells and whistles sewage treatment solution.

With near silent operation and extensive testing and accreditation you can see why people often chose this system, whilst not the cheapest option on the market in the long run could easily start saving you pennies with highly economical operation and a considerable lifespan.

Hitting Rock.

With any site there is always a possibility that the ground conditions can throw a slight spanner in the works! Although we did anticipate hitting bedrock at some point during the installation we had no anticipated just how solid the ground was going to be.

However working closely alongside IT Shaw plant hire our lads were never left without the equipment required and whilst the job took a little longer to complete the lads ploughed on.  One of the key skills of our installation teams is their adaptability to change with the circumstances presented, a good work ethic goes a long way!

Compliance with the 2020 General Binding Rules.

Now that the installation of the new sewage treatment plant is complete the customer can now focus on the other elements of the project and once the site is ready and electrical supply installed our servicing team will be able to return to commission the vessel and fully set it up for correct functionality, for the time being the motor has been removed for safekeeping until this is required.

Ensuring your system complies with the 2020 General binding rules is of great importance and the Environment Agency is taking policing of this matter especially seriously and you can save yourselves a lot of expense by getting the appropriately size and compliant system/ septic tank installed.

If you are working on a new build or renovation project it may be one of the last things you take into consideration but we can assist with any stage of your project, whether you are at the initial planning stage or well underway with your scheme just give us a call and we can try and help.
