RA Dalton was commissioned to install a Klaro E Professional 50 sewage treatment system for a commercial client serving as the principal building contractor on a new housing development. Although the site was commercially managed, the system was installed for domestic application, tailored to meet the needs of future residential occupants.

Prior to commencing work, our team conducted a detailed Risk Assessment and Method Statement (RAMS), identifying multiple potential hazards including exposure to sewage and associated health risks, concrete pouring and shuttering operations, working at height near open manholes, airborne dust and particles, use of heavy plant and machinery, excavation safety and isolation of mains electricity.

At RA Dalton, health and safety is paramount – we implement robust controls to safeguard both our engineers and any visitors to the site to ensure the work we carry out is executed with safety at the forefront of our operation.

Site setup included delivery of machinery, installation of temporary fencing to secure the working area and provision of welfare facilities.

The Klaro E Professional 50 system comprises four interconnected 6,500-litre tanks, installed within a reinforced concrete encasement in accordance with manufacturer specifications. The scope of works included:

• Excavation and installation of the tank system
• Supply and pouring of 50m³ of concrete
• Connection of inlet and outlet pipework
• Installation of a sample point
• Final commissioning of the system

This installation was completed in a single large excavation by our experienced engineers, ensuring efficiency and structural integrity.

The GRAF Klaro E Professional 50PE is a high-performance sewage treatment system designed for domestic and commercial properties accommodating up to 50 people. Built around advanced SBR (Sequential Batch Reactor) lifting technology, this system ensures efficient, eco-friendly wastewater treatment with minimal maintenance and outstanding discharge quality.

This robust system features four injection-moulded underground tanks (each 6,500L), engineered for long-term durability and groundwater stability. The Klaro E Professional operates without any moving parts inside the tank, using three air lift pumps powered by a low-maintenance compressor housed in an internal control cabinet. The system is quiet, energy-efficient, and includes a holiday mode for reduced usage periods.
