We’re excited to welcome a new face to our team who brings extensive hands-on experience and a proactive spirit to RA Dalton. With a background rooted in practical, on-site roles, Edward Hewitt has joined us as a Trainee Service Engineer and is already making a strong impression with his enthusiasm and adaptability.

From roofing large-scale industrial buildings to groundworks, park maintenance and digger operations, his career has always revolved around physical, skill-based work. This solid foundation has equipped him with the resilience and versatility needed to thrive in the dynamic environment of RA Dalton.

In his current role, Edward is responsible for servicing a variety of pump systems, carrying out electrical wiring tasks and fault-finding across different setups. His approach is defined by a proactive mindset and a genuine eagerness to expand his technical knowledge.

He describes himself as proactive, understanding and ambitious – qualities that shine through in his day-to-day work and interactions with the wider team.

When asked what drew him to RA Dalton, Edward shared that it was “the scope of works – never knowing where you’ll be each day, getting to see new places and constantly learning something new” that appealed to him.

He’s particularly looking forward to progressing in his role, gaining deeper expertise in electrical systems and eventually working independently from his own works van.

Outside of work, Edward is all about energy and adventure. He’s a keen fan of live music, regularly attending gigs and festivals and enjoys a wide range of outdoor sports including mountain biking, surfing and hiking. Edward also prioritises socialising with friends, making for a well-balanced lifestyle that fuels his positive attitude at work.

Reflecting on his experience so far, Edward comments that he enjoys learning new things every day and that “The people within the company are very friendly and helpful – it’s just an all-round  positive environment to work in.”
