Clenviro installation at a County Durham Wedding Venue.

November often offers many challenges for groundworkers, shorter days and wet conditions do not make for favourable times to track machines across gardens and landscaped areas however the show must go on!

We always try to limit visible disruption however this isn’t always feasible, under certain circumstances we used ground protection boards/ mats to reduce the impact of heavy machinery tracking across the area. This was utilised for a site in County Durham that were having to continue operating as a wedding venue during the course of our works.

We recommended that a Clenviro CLF1a Matrix sewage treatment plant was installed to suit the property. The Matrix system was ideal to suit the aesthetics of the site with the low-profile lid reducing visual impact.

The Clenviro CLF1a Matrix.

The Matrix sewage treatment plant is fully certified to BS-EN12566-3 which is required to comply with the 2020 General Binding Rules, the system is designed to treat a minimum of 20:30:20 (BOD:SS:Ammonia) standard.

This system is fast becoming a favourite for our installation teams, the single cylindrical tank structure makes for an easy installation and the end product is flush to the ground level. The Matrix is an aeration system with an external blower unit meaning no electrical components are sited within the vessel (unless the system is an IPS unit).

The Matrix has a wide spectrum of applications from the CLF1 (6 population unit) to the CLF17 (300 population), this made the CLF1a (9 pop) an ideal system to install.

Ground protection and sewage treatment plant installation.

As site was still an operational wedding venue, we needed to take extra precautions whilst still working to a deadline. The customer’s main concern was the visual impact of the works, therefore we laid surplus of 50 ground protection boards to cover the most trafficked areas on site, we were also backfilling trenches as we dug them and relaying the turf.

Carrying out the work in this manner did mean that more time was spent on site, due to limited site access all materials, concrete etc needed to be tracked to the installation location which only further prolonged the duration of the works. However, our team worked from dawn to dusk and still finished days ahead of the deadline (wedding day!!)
